Welcome 2021! I am excited you are here–but not because I think you are my hope. I’m glad you are here because you represent a new season, a continuation, a celebration–the Lord has granted us more time on this earth!
And with that time–we must be focused on what the Lord wants us to do.
These are the top things that I think the Lord would have us to focus on:
- Share about His Good News! Share with others about the hope we have in Jesus Christ as the one who can restore the broken relationship between us and God. Tell others how God is alive and moving in our lives. Share the good and the messy–people need to know they are not alone on the struggle bus. Be real, throw out the fake! Because y’all–we all know we don’t live perfect, beautiful lives–we need to share how God is at work in all areas.
- Do things that give Glory to God. Help those who can not help themselves, and can never repay you. Bring justice for those who are not equalized. Stand up for the Godly things. Love others as God does. Serve the Lord in whatever compacity He asks. Humble ourselves and seek after God’s will.
- Encourage One another as we do life together! No really–this one is a biggie. I can encourage you as you fulfill your God-given tasks while at the same time I am accomplishing my God-given tasks. We all win and have unity.
- Spend more time getting to know God, he desires our companionship. Get into the WORD. Go for walks and look at your surroundings–God’s creation. Pray–continuously. Be still–(One of the hardest for me to do!–I kinda stink at this–but I know I need to learn to do it more.)
These are just a few things we should focus on everyday God gives us on this earth.
When I began asking God what to do with this blog for it’s next season, I felt like he was asking me to continue giving others a place to share their heart and their stories about how God has been at work in their lives. So here is my plan:
If you would like to send in your story about how God has been working in a situation, or you feel like the Lord has shown you something from your Bible reading, then please email me at julie@ageeweb.com and ask for the guidelines. I will then send you the requirements for submitting your writing. I plan to share one guest blog a month unless the Lord just sends the multitudes and then I may have to rethink this out. Ha! Please share this with someone who you believe has a story to tell and loves Jesus Christ. That’s an obvious requirement to share on my blog! If the Lord tugs at your heart, and you are scared to share–just know I GET IT! To this day writing still makes me a bit nervous–but I don’t let it stop me when I feel the Lord leading.
I am so excited to see God up 2 Something in our lives! I don’t know what my future holds, but I know WHO holds my future and I’m trusting in Him for every single moment of it!
