At this point in life, these two numbers only have the significance of numbering an amount of time and days that have passed by in history.
My history–but God’s story. I love to think about the verses that tell me my days were numbered.
Since his days are determined, and the number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his limits that he cannot pass,
Job 14:5
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Psalm 139:16
Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.
Psalm 144:4
Even today–I have no idea how many more days I have left in this story–but God does.
I’m thankful that He has that knowledge and I do not know.
Instead of worrying about how many days I have left, I’ve decided to be thankful for all the days I have lived in honor of reaching my 52nd birthday.
How are you celebrating your days?
Are you wasting time worrying about things that you can not change?
Here’s my advice . . .
STOP IT!
Celebrate every day you are given on this Earth. Be intentional!
Remember–none of us know how our days are numbered.
Be guaranteed that you too have a birth day and a death day.
Celebrate in between.
So true! I remember when you were born. I was excited and proud to be your big sis then and I am still one proud sister and excited for what your future holds. I love you, sis.
Love you Julie!
Your words touched my heart this morning.
Hey,
Let’s go mud riding with Jay Lee and Zack soon ????????
Truth!!! Live the in between and make it count for His kingdom! I loved looking at those old photographs. It seems we met around the time you were all in white. Am I close to the right year? As always friend you give words to live by. I love you much.
