We are the official proud parents of Miss Sara SongYan Agee. We traveled to the Foreign Affairs Adoption office and signed many papers and had to stamp our signature with a thumbprint. SongYan also had to sign and stamp her signature with a thumbprint saying that she wanted to be adopted by us. We then traveled in a bus to the notary’s office where we signed more paperwork and had a final interview. We are so happy that the official adoptions are now complete and we just have the visas to go to get them into the United States.
We have been blessed to be with another couple this week who are also adopting from this province. They are adopting a little one year old girl. She is totally attaching to her daddy, so could you please say a prayer that she will start to ask for her mama, and that her mama will continue to adjust during this time.
Also, while you are at it, Hannah is showing signs of some regressive behavior (which is quite common in adoption) but trying at the same time. Could you pray for a peace for her spirit? I’m sure life will get better once the language barrier is a thing of the past, but during this interim we are just having to be creative.
The kids are doing good overall. We went to walmart again today. We were able to stock up on Ramen noodles. Who knew these girls would LOVE their noodles???
Leighanne was here at the office with us, but on the other side of SongYan. Zach was the official photographer today for both families.
Okay–I’m starting to ramble so I will sign off with a good night from China, and a good morning to you in the USA(and any where else that it is morning.) 🙂
Here are the pictures from today. Pay attention to the silly faces SongYan and HaiYan are making. They were being silly while we were signing paperwork.
Yay God!!! He is so very good! I love the fifth photo, the one of SongYan laughing. What a gorgeous smile! BTW, when I went into worship yesterday, the first song we sang was, "I Am Free". I thought of your earlier posts and just began to thank our Lord that we ARE free, and free to worship Him!
Love to you all!
Thank you, Jesus! Wonderful news! I'm glad they are Agee's now. Your lives will never be the same!!
Praying for your family, continued safe travels and good health. Praying for continued adjustments for all of you!!!
