Hey there! Thanks for stopping by “God is up to Something”.
I’m Julie Agee, and I’ve been blogging with this in mind since 2010. God is always up to something in our lives, whether it’s the day-to-day life of our family, the adoption of some of our children, creative projects that we tackle, learning to live with ovarian cancer, ministry to orphans, or exploring our beautiful world. God is always at work, always growing us, and always deepening our walk with Him. My desire is to share with you how my real faith in Jesus Christ goes hand-in-hand with living a real life.
In June of 2017 we were living in Gracias, Honduras as foster parents to precious Honduran children who had been neglected by their families when I was given the diagnosis of cancer. It wasn’t until we returned to the states that I was officially diagnosed with Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer. I have had surgery, completed chemo, declared “in remission”, had colostomy reversal surgery, declared “no longer in remission”, and most recently there has been tumor growth, and an increase in my CA 125 cancer markers. I am indeed learning to live with ovarian cancer.
I am married to my favorite person—Ben Agee, we have been doing married life together for 28 years. We have 6 children, and 3 grandchildren. I love my large family to pieces, and my grands are the joy of my life.
My family is known for our “Game Nights”! Some of us are competitive, some of us are there for the fun—it makes life interesting!
Stay a while and discover how we do “real”.
