Awe—Peace and Relaxation!

by Julie Agee, in category Faith, Photography, Travel Adventures

This past week has encompassed a variety of emotions. From “I can NOT believe this has happened”, to” Whoop! Whoop! My cancer scans were stable!”, to “What are we supposed to do now?” to Awe—Peace and Relaxation!” Yes!  We have had all of these emotions plus more this past week.  One thing is for sure,… Read More

Mayo Scan Day Results 3/26/19

by Julie Agee, in category Battle Against Cancer, Living with Ovarian Cancer

We just left the doctor’s office at Mayo. Do you see those smiles? That’s because my CA 125 marker was normal and my nodule was declared stable and no new growth. Y’all—after the last 72 hours we needed some jump up and down good news! Praise the Lord for His new mercies every day!

We are a Family in Crisis

by Julie Agee, in category Faith, Other, Prayer

Let me just say–I will not share the details. It is not my story to tell. But you need to know that we are dealing with major stuff and we honestly need your prayers. Our hearts are broken, crushed and perplexed. We have questions without answers. We are now on another journey that will be… Read More

Happy Relaunch Day!

by Julie Agee, in category Faith, Other

What a month it has been! I now know why I put this off for forever! But I knew it was time–and when you know it’s time, and you are a head strong (doesn’t that sound better than stubborn?) woman, you enlist your smart hubby, your talented daughter-in-law, your niece, and you make some necessary… Read More

Finding Something Beautiful

by Julie Agee, in category Creative Projects, Faith

My DIL Taylor, called me the other day all excited about some “project” pieces that her parents confiscated from their neighbors throw away pile.  We like to call these freebies future treasures. They found a cubby for toys and books, 2 end tables for their living room and a bookshelf for their guest room.  All FREE! … Read More

Finished Project!

by Julie Agee, in category Creative Projects

First things first, this is Ben’s parents, Ken and Margaret, meeting baby Hailey.  Isn’t this sweet?  Of course, she will learn to call them Bum Bum and Granny Bum like the rest of their grands on our side of the family.  Leighanne gave them these names when she first started talking.  They are visiting from… Read More

That’s Good … No, that’s Bad

by Julie Agee, in category Faith, Living with Ovarian Cancer

Do you remember reading the story called, “That’s Good, No, that’s Bad”?  It’s a story about a little boy who has all of these situations occur back-to-back that either become “good” or “bad”.  For instance, he gets a balloon—that’s good right?  No, that’s bad—it takes him away from his family.  The adventure continues until **spoiler**… Read More

Project Progress: Week 3

by Julie Agee, in category Creative Projects

The 1st thing I have learned about myself this week is that I do NOT enjoy sewing seat cushions.  Nope! Not even a little bit! I will gladly pay the $20,000.00 they must cost to have custom seat cushions because that would totally be worth it! Ok—less drama—but really, those cushions will probably be the… Read More

White as Snow …

by Julie Agee, in category Creative Projects, Faith

It’s time for an update on our kitchen booth. We have been busy this week.  I say “we” because my hubby joined me in the fun.  Not the painting part, but the building part.  Just you wait! I ended up having to prime this piece 2 times, yes, the lovely green and raspberry just kept… Read More

2019-Welcome to the New Year!  I’m not making any resolutions—but I am beginning my 1st project for the year.   And it’s going to be a fun one.     I saw this booth/table on Facebook Marketplace during the Christmas Holiday.  We bought it and brought it home.  There it sat until today.   Today… Read More
