Fairytales vs. God’s Ways

by Julie Agee, in category Adoption

I guess I set myself up for failure yesterday. (My peace about TA went out the window–for a little while.) I had this idea in my head that we were supposed to travel in September to go get our girls.  I guess somewhere in all of this raw emotion floating around  I thought that God would… Read More

God IS Moving!

by Julie Agee, in category Adoption

All I can say is that God is moving the mountain–slowly–but hey–Gods ways are not my ways!  (You can be thankful for that!) No–We do not have TA yet.  And Really–We have given that over to God.  It will get here in His timing. I’d like to say that I have been extremely patient, but that would… Read More

Are the mountains starting to move?

by Ben Agee, in category Adoption

God may have started moving our biggest mountain yesterday morning. A dear friend of mine, Dan Dubell, President of International Care, Inc. (I CARE) called me yesterday morning and offered to set up an adoption fund at I CARE where people can make tax-deductable donations to assist with Hannah and Sara’s adoptions. Dan specifically asked… Read More

Not a Single Word!

by Ben Agee, in category Adoption, Prayer

Through this journey one of the things that I have learned is that we can convince ourselves that we hear what we want God to tell us – and it is really easy to do. We are expecting our TA (Travel Authorization) literally any day now and once we get TA things have to happen… Read More

Well–it looks like it will be sooner than later that we will travel.  🙂 Our Article 5 is being picked up tomorrow and then we will be waiting for our travel approval.  YAY!!!!! So now I know why I have been feeling that urge to buy, wash and dry clothes for Sara and Hannah. Here’s… Read More

I just got  another beautiful blessing–Sara’s updates and pictures! She is so beautiful! Here is a picture of our teenage daughter–Sara! Why Is It So Hard to Trust God?

by Ben Agee, in category Adoption, Prayer

The gospel is such a simple thing that we cannot really grasp it without the intervention of the Holy Spirit. The simplicity of the gospel is that we have to trust God and trust that He has a provided a way through Jesus Christ for us to spend an eternity with Him in heaven. We… Read More

Another Step Complete!

by Ben Agee, in category Adoption

Woo hoo! We received our letter from the U.S. National Visa Center (NVC) today confirming that they have wired our file to the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou, China. With this piece of the puzzle, we now send off our last packet (is going out today!) to our adoption agency and they overnight it to China.… Read More

Another Piece of the Puzzle

by Julie Agee, in category Adoption

Today we received our I-800 Provisional Paper saying that “yes” we are again approved to bring our girls home.  (Whoop! Whoop!)  Now we will wait about 10 days for a piece of paper called the NVC.  Then will wait 3 – 5 weeks for our  Article 5.  Finally, we will then be in the wait… Read More
