by Julie Agee, in category Adoption, Travel Adventures

We are the official proud parents of Miss Sara SongYan Agee.  We traveled to the Foreign Affairs Adoption  office and signed many papers and had to stamp our signature with a thumbprint.  SongYan also had to sign and stamp her signature with a thumbprint saying that she wanted to be adopted by us.  We then… Read More

Psalm 92:1-5“A psalm. A song to be sung on the Sabbath Day. It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High. We Arrived in Fuzhou!

by Julie Agee, in category Adoption, Travel Adventures

Hannah’s first plane ride was a little challenging.  How do you communicate you must stay buckled and you may not go to the potty because the plane just took off and the stay buckled sign is on?  (Note: we had just gone to the bathroom before we got on the plane) LOL! I can not imagine… Read More

Today began with a visit to Martyr’s Park and the Hunan Embroidery Museum.  We went to the park and began a walk on a trail that turned into small areas where people gathered to do Tai Chi, play card games, make music, and spend time with friends.  Next, we were given a mini-concert by a… Read More

It’s Official–We Signed All of the Documents Today!

by Julie Agee, in category Adoption, Travel Adventures

We returned to the CIvil Affairs Office this morning to make Hannah’s adoption official by signing all of the paperwork.  We took our official photo, signed paperwork, answered questions before a notary(kind of like a judge here), and stamped our thumbprints and Hannah’s hand print to make it official.  She’s Ours! Only GOD–Only GOD!  I… Read More

After breakfast this morning, we met our guide and driver and left for the Civil Affairs office in Changsha.  (The same building we adopted Leighanne from almost 10 years ago.) We went into the “meeting room” where another baby boy was waiting for his forever family to arrive.  At 10:15 am we met our newest… Read More

Beijing in a Whirlwind Tour

Today we began our day early.  After falling into bed after midnight, we were up and getting showers at 6:00am. We started with an authentic Chinese breakfast consisting of boiled egg, steamed rolls, sausage and (something), some kind of vegetable in some kind of sauce(that was actually quite yummy).  To top it off we had… Read More
