It’s time for the 1st Moments 2 Meditate Challenge.
Last month I sent out a challenge to add scripture in your home in a creative way here.
The time has come for us to share how we each accomplished our challenge for Chapter 1 in “Trusting God When Life Gives You Crap“. I am so excited–I hope you didn’t forget!
I had been holding on to a piece of material for about 6 months. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it, but I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do with it. When I put out the M2M Challenge-I knew the time was right.
I dug through my bucket of scrap cotton material and found a variety of fabrics that would blend with my fabric panel. Next, I cut the fabric into 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 rectangles. I began sewing the rectangle together side-by-side until they equaled the length of the side of the panel. Once I had both sides ready, I sewed them to the quilt and then ironed the new additions. I then cut the quilting batting and layered the panel, batting and fabric backing together. I pinned it in place with quilting pins, and finally sewed around each square to secure the layers together. I added the binding and the tabs to the wall hanging, and was then ready to put it all together. I put the previously painted dowel rod through the tabs and tied the black and white tassels made from yarn on top.
Here is the finished quilted wall hanging for my sewing/craft/grandkids playroom. I love it—look at that beautiful verse about Trusting God!
You can share below in the messages or at Godisup2something on Facebook. I’m adding a post for you to show how you added scripture to your house.
Share on both places if you want. I will be looking at every post!
Thanks!
